Glencore said moving 20,000T of billet to US

NEW YORK — Glencore International Plc plans to shift some 20,000 tonnes of offshore aluminum billet to North America sometime in the next few months, sources familiar with the company told AMM.

Market participants aren’t sure when the metal is expected to hit U.S. shores, but say it could be either a one-time shipment or several smaller shipments. Glencore will store the metal in non-London Metal Exchange warehouses and sell the billet on the spot market for the remainder of the year, sources said.....
