Indian ferrous scrap import prices show signs of weakening on thin trade

Offer prices for ferrous scrap imported into India softened slightly this week in response to thin trade, market participants told Metal Bulletin on Tuesday May 1. Shredded offer prices ranged from $485-495 per tonne cfr Nhava Sheva this week, unchanged from last week.  HMS 1&2 (80:20) prices fell slightly to $460-470 per tonne cfr Nhava Sheva, down from $465-475 on April 24. A trading company sold some shredded material in containers at $486 per tonne cfr Nhava Sheva,....
