CHICAGO Primary metals producers and fabricators had a good first quarter, logging robust gains in the value of shipments and new orders compared with the same 2011 period, according to U.S. Census Bureau data.
Primary metals producers saw not-seasonally-adjusted shipment values grow 26.1 percent during the period, with new order values jumping 22.1 percent.....
