L.B. Foster net soars on strong sales

TORONTO L.B. Foster Co.s earnings soared in the first quarter thanks to strength in the rail and tubular markets and despite continued weakness in the construction sector.
The Pittsburgh-based manufacturer, fabricator and distributor of products and services for the rail, construction, energy and utility markets posted net income of nearly $3.4 million vs. $679,000 in the first three months of last year on sales that inched up 1.2 percent to more than $118.5 million.....
