DEARBORN, Mich. The outlook for the U.S. galvanized and coated steel sector continues to improve, with lighter-weight coated products in particular expected to reap the benefits of Detroits fuel-efficiency efforts, industry leaders say.
Although a number of end-use sectors are showing signs of strength, booming automotive demand and an improving housing and construction sector appear to be the key drivers for coated steel producers in the mid-term, executives said during a roundtable discussion at AMMs Galvanized and Coated Metals Conference in Dearborn, Mich.....
