Mass. recyclers face Clean Water Act lawsuits

PITTSBURGH — A New England environmental group has filed four separate lawsuits targeting Massachusetts metal recyclers, claiming the state and a federal agency have failed to hold the companies accountable for allegedly contaminating waterways.

The Conservation Law Foundation has launched federal Clean Water Act lawsuits in U.S. District Court in Massachusetts against Cody & Tobin Inc., New Bedford; Old Colony Scrap Inc., Taunton; Sone Alloys Inc. and Joseph Enos & Sons Trust, also of Taunton; and Sylvia’s Auto Parts Inc., South Dartmouth.....
