CHINA STEEL WRAP: Prices weak despite higher April PMI

A rise in China’s purchasing managers’ index (PMI) failed to give the country’s spot steel prices a boost on Wednesday May 2, the first working day after the May Day holidays.
Prices were either flat or lower in major steel markets, as steelmakers continued to cut ex-works prices.....
