Metalloinvest 2011 earnings jump 50% year-on-year

Russian steelmaking group Metalloinvest has reported a near-50% year-on-year improvement in earnings in its 2011 calendar year, in a financial results statement published on Wednesday May 2.
Earnings before taxes, interest, depreciation and amortisation (Ebitda) at December 31 came to $3.87 billion, compared with $2.59 billion the previous year.
