Xstrata shareholder meeting reveals dissent over Glasenberg board position

A total 13.56% of Xstrata shareholders voted against Glencore ceo Ivan Glasenberg’s re-election to the company’s board at its annual shareholder meeting held on Tuesday May 1.
The total number of votes counted, however, does not include those votes that were withheld. Of the total number of votes available, including those withheld, the results of the meeting showed that another 2.81% abstained.
