Evraz Camrose workers face lockout, talks stall

TORONTO Unionized workers at Evraz Inc. North Americas pipe mill in Camrose, Alberta, are facing a Friday morning lockout if labor negotiations remain at a standstill.
A spokewoman for the Chicago-based steelmaker confirmed to AMM that the company had issued a 72-hour lockout notice "to help facilitate a bargaining resolution" with unionized workers at the Camrose Works, noting that the move came as the Canadian Auto Workers union also issued a 72-hour strike notification Wednesday morning.
"Evraz stands ready to continue good-faith bargaining, with our primary goal to reach an agreement that will help ensure the job security of Evraz employees," the spokeswoman said in a statement late Wednesday.....
