NEW YORK Stainless scrap prices held steady this month as falling demand from stainless mills and softer nickel tags were offset by a pickup in demand from export yards and an unwillingness by dealers to sell at lower prices.
"In the U.S., demand is falling off. Mills are buying less scrap for May than they did for April," one broker said.....
