First Quantum wants power deal before starting with Zambian copper mine

First Quantum will not start to build its Sentinel copper project in Zambia until it has sealed an agreement over power tariffs with the countrys electricity supplier, company president Clive Newall said on Thursday May 3.
The company wants to start construction of the project this month, he said, and needs to start at least by August before the rain season starts, which could delay construction.....
