DLA won’t sell ferrochrome released from reserve

NEW YORK DLA Strategic Materials will not introduce to the market 104,000 tons of high-carbon ferrochrome and 46,000 tons of low-carbon ferrochrome released from a strategic reserve to its saleable stockpile.
However, the agency will continue sales of already-available low-carbon ferrochrome for the rest of the fiscal year.
"Sales under the basic offering agreement are expected to continue, with potential twice-monthly offerings of low-carbon material from the Ravenna, Ohio, and Point Pleasant, W.Va., locations," the agency said.....
