Precision Castparts to buy Centra Industries

LOS ANGELES — Precision Castparts Corp. (PCC) has taken another step toward aerospace supply-chain consolidation, agreeing to purchase a Canadian machining house.

PCC said it signed a deal to acquire Centra Industries Inc., a Cambridge, Ontario, manufacturer of machined airframe components in aluminum and hard metals, by the first quarter of fiscal 2013, after which Centra’s results will be reported as part of the PCC’s fastener products segment. Further details were not disclosed.....
