Perryman acquires forgings supplier

LOS ANGELES — Perryman Co. is expanding its footprint in the medical market with a downstream acquisition.

The producer of titanium products has purchased the Houston, Pa., facility of Wilmington, Mass.-based medical device manufacturer Accellent Inc., which supplies forgings to the medical industry.

Privately held Perryman Co., also based in Houston and which supplies titanium ingot, bar, coil, fine wire, net shapes and hot-rolled products, didn’t disclose the price it paid for the new operation, which has about 80 employees. The company is considered a major supplier of titanium fastener stock to the aerospace industry.....
