Arca writes first quarter in red ink due to start-up costs

PITTSBURGH Appliance Recycling Centers of America Inc. (Arca) fell into the red in the first quarter, due largely to the cost of investments.
The Minneapolis-based recycler posted a $66,000 net loss for the three months ended March 31, in contrast to net income of $674,000 in the same period last year, on revenue that slipped 1.7 percent to $29.4....
