East Coast ferrous export yards cut prices

NEW YORK — Two large East Coast ferrous scrap exporters have lowered their buying prices at the docks by $10 per gross ton, according to a number of market sources.

While some sources reported the drop, others said they had yet to hear of or confirm the development. AMM was able to confirm one large exporter’s price drop in the New York-to-Philadelphia region and awaits confirmation from the others.

"Yes, the locals have dropped ten (dollars) and they say it may be more," one source said.....
