Lead scrap prices stable as zinc tags drops

NEW YORK Free-market lead scrap tags have yet to reflect the volatility experiences in London Metal Exchange prices, although the zinc scrap market has declined by 2 cents per pound.
Whole auto batteries continued to defy the LMEs recent downturn, rising to 41 to 44 cents per pound Wednesday from 40 to 43 cents per pound on April 25. All other lead scrap grades were unchanged.....
