Shanghai copper price slides after inflation

The price of copper on the Shanghai Futures Exchange declined on Friday May 11 as hopes of looser monetary policy in China faded.
The exchange’s August copper price settled at 57,450 yuan ($9,096) per tonne, down by 110 yuan from Thursday’s settlement and 1.2% lower for the week.
Copper stocks held in official SHFE warehouses went down by 9,178 tonnes....
