UK ferrous scrap prices down £8-10 in May on export drop-off

Ferrous scrap prices in the UK market dropped by around £8-10 ($13-16) per tonne for deliveries in May as a weakness in the export market led to lower domestic levels, merchants told Metal Bulletin.
One mill settled its May tonnage last week at prices £10 per tonne down, while the second mill paid between £8-10 per tonne down depending on grade.
OA plate and structural scrap for delivery in May stood at £254-265 per tonne delivered, down from £262-275 a month earlier, while....
