RG moves Md. outage forward in weak market

NEW YORK — RG Steel LLC moved forward a planned maintenance outage at its Sparrows Point, Md., blast furnace this past week in an effort to take advantage of a period of weaker demand, a company executive told AMM.
The outage had been slated for the coming week, but the company chose to complete it early to coincide with a slowdown in order entry, he said.....
