Sluggish market drags China's plate prices down

China’s domestic plate prices continued to fall this week on weak demand.
In Shanghai, 14-20mm-thick plate is being traded at 4,300-4,350 yuan ($678-686) per tonne, down 50 yuan week-on-week or 150 yuan lower than a month ago.
