Territorial dispute with Philippines could hurt trade

SHANGHAI, China - China has warned the Philippines, an important exporter of nickel ore and nickel, that a territorial dispute over islands in southeast Asia could hurt the two countries trade relationship.
The standoff over a resource-rich area in the South China Sea has raised tensions between the two countries and dominated Chinas state media over the past week.
While China might be less likely to target the goods for which it is short on supply, a prolonged dispute could affect general links with the Philippines. Chinese nationals have already been told to limit their visits to the country for safety reasons.....
