Domestic ferrosilicon prices tumble on aggressive selling

NEW YORK — Domestic ferrosilicon prices are coming under pressure as sellers aggressively chase available business following a period of little activity.

"The market is very thin at the moment, so the small amount of business that’s being quoted in an unsettled market environment is distorting the price picture," one trader said, adding that profit margins at the new price levels are slim to nonexistent.....
