PCC extending reach into aerospace

LOS ANGELES — Precision Castparts Corp. (PCC) is pushing further into the vertical integration of its forging and other aerospace operations with two proposed acquisitions.

The Portland, Ore.-based producer of aircraft, energy and industrial products announced that it has agreed to acquire Dickson Testing Co. Inc. and Aerocraft Heat Treating Co.

Details of the cash acquisitions, which are expected to be completed during PCC’s fiscal first quarter ending late June, were not disclosed. The two operations’ financial results will be included in PCC’s forged products segment.....
