UK secondary aluminium ingot volumes up, prices down

UK secondary aluminium ingot prices fell on Wednesday May 23 as buyers found lower prices even as volumes improved from those seen in the past two weeks.
LM24 pressure diecasting ingot fell to £1,420-1,470 ($2,243-2,322) per tonne from £1,440-1,480 previously, while LM6/LM25 gravity diecasting ingot slipped to £1,720-1,780 per tonne from £1,740-1,790.
Producers reported stronger sales volumes this week, but prices still fell due to the oversupplied market, with the....
