Alcoa, BPA extend Intalco power pact

NEW YORK Alcoa Inc. and the Bonneville Power Administration (BPA) have agreed to extend the existing power contract for the Intalco aluminum smelter in Ferndale, Wash., through June 30.
"This will hopefully give us enough time to work out a long-term agreement," a BPA spokesman said, adding that another short extension is possible if the two parties cannot come to an agreement.....
