Sims eyes lower earnings amid headwinds

PITTSBURGH — Sims Metal Management Ltd. has warned investors that its fiscal-year results may be disappointing due to "global economic challenges and headwinds."
The company’s fiscal year does not end until June 30, but based on the first 10 months Sims said it expects its full-year earnings to be "materially less" than 85 percent of its earnings the previous year. Sims’ earnings totaled A$192.1 million in fiscal 2011 (AMM,....
