Production decision looms for South Crofty tin mine

Canada-based Celeste Copper expects to make a decision on production capacity at Cornwall’s South Crofty mine early next year, ceo and president Alan Shoesmith told Metal Bulletin on Thursday May 31.
“We anticipate completing the current phase of our exploration programme sufficiently to conclude a preliminary economic assessment and thereafter reach a production decision during early 2013,” he told Metal Bulletin.
“Given an anticipated positive outcome to that assessment, we would expect to see employment ramp up over the following two years,” he....
