LOS ANGELES A proposed general rate hike on container shipments to Asia doesnt appear to be worrying scrap exporters, who have taken the announcement in stride.
The Westbound Transpacific Stabilization Agreement (WTSA) is recommending a new round of rate increases on dry cargo$50 per 40-foot container (FEU) from California ports and $100 per FEU for all other intermodal and all-water shipmentsto take effect July 1.....
