Steel sheet prices continue slide

NEW YORK Steel sheet prices resumed their fall at the end of this past week after a week of apparent stabilization.
The price of hot-rolled sheet slid to $30.75 per hundredweight ($615 per ton) f.o.b. Midwest mill, down from $31 per cwt ($620 per ton) the previous week.
Early last week, prices looked poised to stabilize, even as many buyers sat out of the market (AMM, June 14), but sources said that hasnt been the case.....
