China wire rod imports rise in June

NEW YORK U.S. wire rod imports from China look poised to remain strong in June, although recent price decreases from domestic producers mean imports could trickle off again after the summer.
License applications for steel wire rod from China this month totaled 14,959 tonnes through June 12, according to data from the Commerce Departments Import Administration, up sharply from total May licenses of just 4,125 tonnes and a far cry from the 200 tonnes imported from China in all of 2011.....
