CMC’s net up, operations all in black

TORONTO — Commercial Metals Co. (CMC) saw improvement in its fiscal third-quarter earnings results, with each of the company’s operating segments reporting a quarterly adjusted operating profit for the first time since the fiscal first quarter of 2008.

The latest quarter’s results improved "even as uncertainty remains over the continuity of the eurozone and the instability of U.S. markets," CMC president and chief executive officer Joseph Alvarado said in a statement Wednesday.....
