Illinois bar distributor installs lathe and router machines

CHICAGO — Steel Supply Co. has installed a Haas ST-30 CNC lathe and a Haas GR-510 gantry router, both of which will be in production starting the week of July 16, a company executive told AMM.
The ST-30 is a CNC lathe capable of producing finished customer parts in bar stock or mechanical tubing, said David E. Sheer, vice president and general manager of the Rolling Meadows, Ill.-based company.....
