Mexico steel thefts down 47% in 1st quarter

MEXICO CITY The amount of steel stolen in Mexico fell 47 percent in the first quarter compared with the same period last year, according to Conadiac, Mexicos steel distributors confederation.
Rebar accounted for about 35 percent of the 2,639 tonnes of steel stolen from January through March in at least 15 Mexican states, or about half of the country.....
