China's second-half nonferrous outlook not bright

SHANGHAI, China — The outlook for China’s nonferrous metals industry for the second half of the year isn’t an optimistic one, according to an official at the China Nonferrous Metals Industry Association (CNIA).

Most of China’s nonferrous smelters are expected to see their profits remain unchanged or fall in the second half of the year, local media quoted CNIA chairman Chen Quanxun as saying at a recent nonferrous mining conference.....
