Daily Chinese steel exports inch 0.2% lower during June

SHANGHAI, China — China’s steel export volumes inched down 0.2 percent to 5.22 million tonnes in June from 5.23 million tonnes a month earlier, according to preliminary Chinese customs data.

However, the tally remains 21.7 percent higher year on year.

"June shipments have not fully reflected the weak market that began in mid-April," an exporter in Shanghai said.....
