American Vanadium targets defense with Gibellini output

NEW YORK — American Vanadium Corp.’s Gibellini project will be able to generate high-purity vanadium products suitable for aerospace alloys and flow battery systems, according to the company’s chief executive officer.

"It’s all about a different refining process," Bill Radvak told AMM. "Recent lab tests showed just what we had hoped all along. We set the expectation of supplying ferrovanadium for the steel market in our feasibility study, but that’s a low-grade product. Now our goal in designing the facility is to do....
