Luvata buys Intermachinery, to start producing in Brazil

SÃO PAULO, Brazil — Luvata Group has announced its acquisition of Brazilian welding supplier Intermachinery, as well as the installation of a manufacturing plant for making welding electrodes in Brazil that is set to start operations next March.

Intermachinery has contracts with major automotive manufacturers that operate in Brazil, including Fiat SpA, General Motors Co., Renault SA and Ford Motor Co. ....
