NEW YORK U.S. ferrosilicon prices remain squeezed as even more severe price pressures around the globe push an increasing amount of material to North America.
"Prices here are bad, but look elsewhere. Europe is even worse," one trader said.
"I hear theres a lot of orphaned material heading here," a market source said. "Youd think at these price levels, producers would consider shutting down furnaces and holding inventory." ....
