Kaiser’s net skyrockets fivefold in 2d quarter

NEW YORK Kaiser Aluminum Corp.s net income skyrocketed in the second quarter compared with the same year-ago period, largely due to solid demand in the aerospace and automotive industries.
The Foothill Ranch, Calif.-based company posted net income of $21 million for the three months ended June 30, more than five times the $4.1 million recorded in the second quarter of 2011, on sales that gained 1.9 percent to $345.2 million from $338.8 million.....
