Caterpillar exec sees hints of housing recovery

CHICAGO The top executive of Caterpillar Inc. said he sees signs of hope for the U.S. housing market, which has been struggling to regain its footing for the past four years.
In response to questions by analysts during the Peoria, Ill.-based companys quarterly conference call, chairman and chief executive officer Douglas Oberhelman reported that he recently visited California, where he met with several contractors.....
