Kaiser foresees fall in auto build rates

NEW YORK Kaiser Aluminum Corp. is forecasting a 10-percent decline in automotive build rates in the second half of 2012 from the first six months of the year, according to chairman, president and chief executive officer Jack Hockema.
The Foothill Ranch, Calif.-based producer maintains it is well positioned for the slowdown as it has already completed model changeovers at its plant, Hockema said on a second-quarter earnings call with analysts Thursday.....
