Alba’s 2d-qtr. profits down by half on lower aluminum tags

DUBAI, United Arab Emirates Net profits at Aluminium Bahrain BSC (Alba) fell by 48.8 percent in the second quarter due to lower spot prices.
The company posted earnings of 35.6 million dinars ($94.42 million) after taxes, down from 69.6 million dinars in the same period last year, on revenue that dropped by 18.9 percent to 196.5 million dinars ($521.19 million).....
