Alba’s 2d-qtr. profits down by half on lower aluminum tags

DUBAI, United Arab Emirates — Net profits at Aluminium Bahrain BSC (Alba) fell by 48.8 percent in the second quarter due to lower spot prices.
The company posted earnings of 35.6 million dinars ($94.42 million) after taxes, down from 69.6 million dinars in the same period last year, on revenue that dropped by 18.9 percent to 196.5 million dinars ($521.19 million).....
