NEW YORK — Free-market aluminum scrap and alloy prices took a hit Thursday after the London Metal Exchange’s North American special aluminum alloy contract (Nasaac) cash price closed at its lowest level in more than two years.
Secondary scrap prices were down almost across the board, with old sheet dropping to a range of 65 to 66 cents per pound from 66 to 67 cents. Old cast fell to 67 to 69 cents per pound from 68 to 70 cents previously.....
