NEW YORK — Nonferrous scrap metals recycler Schupan & Sons Inc. has acquired the South Bend, Ind., facility of Shapiro Metals Co., saying that the new site will increase volumes at its northern Indiana operations by 50 percent.
Kalamazoo, Mich.-based Schupan and St. Louis-based Shapiro concluded the transaction Wednesday, the companies said.....
