PITTSBURGH An undercover investigation in Georgia to ensure metals recycling facilities in Marietta are complying with new state laws resulted in nine citations at two companies.
Blaze Recycling & Metals LLC and ABC Recycling were cited by the Marietta Police Department for allegedly receiving regulated metals, according to the department.
The police launched the Copperhead Metal Task Force to find and prosecute metals thieves, as well as to ensure local scrapyards were in compliance. During a three-month period, undercover officers attempted to sell material to three major recyclers.....
