Chinese steel export tag cuts aim to stir sales

SHANGHAI, China Chinas flat and long steel export prices have eased as steelmakers try to prop up their export business with more competitive offers.
Hot-dipped galvanized base prices drifted to a nine-month low, falling $10 per tonne to a range of $650 to $660 per tonne f.o.b. for late September and early October shipment. This compares with a peak price of $750 to $770 per tonne f.o.b. over the past nine months.....
