Chinese nickel producers seek help, ask government to buy production

SHANGHAI, China — China’s State Reserve Bureau (SRB) has been asked to purchase refined nickel to support domestic producers amid weak demand and low prices.

"Certain producers have applied to their provincial governments and the SRB to ask the government to purchase some of their output, but no decision has been made yet," a well-placed industry source told AMM sister publication Metal Bulletin.....
