NEW YORK Nickel premiums have shown their first significant rise since March 2011 as traders reported a flurry of spot activity this past week.
Premiums for melting-grade are now between 23 and 29 cents per pound, up an average of 15.5 percent from 20 to 25 cents per pound previously, with half to full truckload business of briquettes and 4- by 4-inch cathode reported in the range this past week.....
